About IIDA

The Virginia & West Virginia chapter of the Commercial Interior Design Association consists of over 170 members across the two states with events held in the Richmond and Hampton Roads city centers. Our mission is to provide programs and resources to commercial interior designers and clients that shares knowledge, encourages excellence and innovation, and promotes education. IIDA provides members with the sources to attain expertise, knowledge and contacts. Chapters and City Centers are the visible strength of our association, and their networking events allow professionals to connect on more personal levels that encourage trust, collaboration, and innovation. Use your contacts as leverage in seeking out opportunities and solidifying partnerships. The people you interact with form a microcosm of the Design World.

GET INVOLVED

Our chapter works diligently to be a champion within the industry. We advocate for the profession at all levels of government and monitor legislation within the Commonwealth that could impact our licensure in Virginia and West Virginia. We also seek to expand the knowledge and professionalism of our members with events, such as workshops, CEU’s, tours, panels, and share technology, trends and best practices to improve the value that interior designers bring to their communities. Finally, we are sustainably and socially conscious by giving back to the communities we reside in and hosting events that benefit local nonprofits and the environment.
