Healthcare design is complex, technical and challe Healthcare design is complex, technical and challenging. It is also fascinating,
human-centered, research-based and ever-changing. Hospitals are buildings with
multiple needs and uses, where the opportunities to enhance the user experience
through holistic design are endless. As members of an industry that actively uses
research to improve guidelines, designers are continuously challenged to excel and
innovate not only on their final product, but also through their process. So, what does
the concept of “Holistic Healthcare Design” really mean?

Join us at our next Scholar Series where Diana Araoz-Fraser and Emily Dickinson will discuss this topic and give us a clearer insight to healthcare design!

Every second, the brain filters millions of sensor Every second, the brain filters millions of sensory inputs, shaping how we think, feel, and perform. For many neurodivergent individuals, poorly designed environments can create sensory overload, leading to stress, fatigue, and exclusion. This session explores the intersection of Neuroinclusion and Neuroaesthetics, examining how sound, lighting, thermal comfort, and spatial design influence human experience. Attendees will gain practical strategies for creating environments that support neurological diversity, enhance well-being, and transform spaces into intuitive, inclusive places where everyone can thrive.

For the first 15 Members to register for this event, you will receive a copy of Kay Sargent’s Book - Designing Neuroinclusive Workplaces: Advancing Sensory Processing and Cognitive Well-Being in the Built Environment. A limited number of additional copies will be available for purchase at the event.

A huge thank you to @moi_inc_ for hosting us at all three locations and creating welcoming spaces for us to connect and learn together. We’re also grateful to @momentumco__ and @interface for helping make the evening possible, and to Amanda Schneider for sharing her insights with us during our Q&A!

Here’s to great conversations, and a community that keeps us moving forward. 📖✨
