Workplace Solutions is in growth mode looking to add two positions to our current dynamic team environment:

Design Dept. Manager/Sr. Designer: Leads the design team on design related projects, product specifications review and development, space planning. Manages detailed space plans related to client space requirements, code compliance, programming requirements within set time and budget. Is a resource for the Jr. Designers/Designers providing project planning, timelines, installation logistics, specification expertise, technical product resource with checking/sign off of completed work, pricing and submittals. Interfaces with installation team in house and our clients and industry partners.  Leads design team meetings. Leads the continuous training effort to improve process and procedures and growth of the team. Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BFA degree in Interior Design
  • Dealer Experience
  • Business Minded Designer with strategical thinking skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Dynamic team leader and mentor
  • Ability to multi task and change course as needed in an active work environment
  • Demonstrates leadership skills
  • Strong decision making skills and accountability for such
  • Professional appearance and representation of self and company at all times a must
  • Willing and able to travel when necessary
  • NCIDQ Certification preferred, or working toward

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years B2B or outside sales experience preferred
  • College Degree in marketing/business or design with a keen ability to blend design with sales
  • Design/Contract Furnishings industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and representation of self and company at all times a must
  • Confidence to present company, products/services, make calls and network with individuals and at networking events
  • Develop business relationships to identify potential opportunities
  • Work with management extensively to continually develop growth strategies
  • Develop new business through research, existing business contacts, business memberships
  • Further develop existing accounts that maximize retention
  • Assist with marketing, brand recognition to increase visibility of company
  • Willing and able to travel when necessary
  • Confident to interact with our client company executives at a high level
