IIDA VAWV 2018 Business Leaders Breakfast: A Look into Buying Groups & GPOS

Join IIDA|VAWV for an informative morning on November 30th at one of our favorite venues, the Slover Library! The 2018 annual Business Leaders Breakfast will feature keynote speakers that will lead our discussion regarding group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and buying groups in the areas of state and local, K-12, higher education and healthcare.

Keynote Speakers:

Greg Melenchen – National IPA Regional Manager, Mid-Atlantic

Greg serves as the National IPA Regional Manager for the Mid Atlantic, Public Sector and is based out of Alexandria VA. In his role, Greg is responsible for developing relationships with agencies and supplier partners throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Assisting State and Local Government, K-12 Education, and Non-Profit/Association members in their adoption and utilization of the National IPA contracts portfolio.

Lisa Sloane – National IPA Regional Manager, Higher Education

Lisa has worked for National IPA for 4 years managing higher education accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region and brings a deep understanding of higher education procurement through her extensive work experience.  Most recently she was the Purchasing Director for the University System of North Carolina.  During her 3 years at UNC she was an agent for change and led many projects that focused on managing system spend.  Prior to that, she worked for the State of Georgia and the University System of Georgia.  Lisa resides in Norfolk, Virginia with her husband and son.

Sarah Butler – Director of Interior Design for Education, RRMM Architects

Sarah Butler is the Director of Interior Design for Education at RRMM Architects in Chesapeake,
Virginia. In Sarah’s role at RRMM, her primary focus has been on renovations and new design
projects for educational and municipal clients. Her responsibilities include interior architecture,
custom millwork, FF&E packages and procurement, art packages, custom furniture, carpet and lighting designs and construction administration. She is a Certified Interior Designer in the state of Virginia as well as a NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer. Sarah earned her LEED Interior
Design and Construction Certification in 2009.
