Project Spotlight: ChamberRVA, ODELL Associates
Completed in January 2016, ChamberRVA’s 9,500 square foot office renovation represents the third major component in their year of change that also brought a new name and logo. The space, which was an effort in right-sizing their office, is located on the 17th floor of the Sun Trust building at 919 East Main Street.
The space includes open and private offices, collaborative areas, small and medium conference rooms, as well a room designed to accommodate larger functions that seats 120. The open Staff break room – featuring a kegerator with local beers on tap – allows tables to spill out into the common area to double as an entertaining space.
Aligning with their mission, the entire space was inspired by the area it serves – the Richmond region and all of its unique components.
The juxtaposition of old and new that is so prevalent in the area is translated in the space through the combination of rustic textures with sleek, open glass. Organic carpet patterns combined with crisp architectural features call to mind the James River against the geometric skyline of the city. The vibrant hues used throughout mirror chamberRVA’s energy for its city, while giving a nod to the region’s thriving art scene. With spectacular views from all directions, chamberRVA’s office truly celebrates all Richmond has to offer.
